What you need to know:
Getting to and from your cruise ship can be a challenge in Rome since the port is located about 70 kms (50 miles) north of the airport and Rome itself.  Travel time without traffic holdups is around 1 hr 15 and 1 hr 30 respectively.

How sorry I feel for those uninformed people who get off their cruise ship and haven't already booked a transfer to Rome. It's difficult to find a free taxi or limo service car or van.  The so-called "Port Shuttle Service" will dump you at the entrance to the port, and from there you may or may not be lucky to find a cab willing to take you as far as the local Civitavecchia train station.....most cabbies are waiting at the gangway for a more profitable ride to Rome itself and so are not interested in anyone wanting to get 500 metres to the local station!  If you have the energy to walk with your bags up and down over bumpy culverts and footpaths, then a flight of several steps to the station, then you deserve to get a seat in the third-rate train which will eventually land you at Rome's Termini Station, and if you want to get to the airport after that,it's another long hike down the platform there before you get onto the Leonardo Da Vinci express which runs, strikes permitting, every 30 minutes to the airport.

Wise cruisers book their transfers to and from the port ahead of time!!
However, eeven as late as the night before, I may be able to organize that for you with my esteemed licensed colleagues.
Question: How do I tell a licensed car/van operator from a "pirate"?
Answer:  the licensed cars and vans have a tag, usually near the rear number plate, with NCC written on it.  I only recommend these operators and vehicles who are licensed to carry paying passengers and who are properly insured to guarantee your safety.
My booking service will make it seamless and reliable!  I hand-pick my transfer service partners who are fully licensed, professional, courteous, and CAREFUL.The quoted price will include all taxes and charges including port entry tax.

Your driver will wait for you directly outside the baggage collection area with a sign with your party name on it.

Transfers from both Fiumicino and Ciampino airports

to the city of Rome, and for touring in comfort while you are here, this is the kind of vehicle I like to choose for my clients.

The Mercedes Viano pictured above, for instance, seats up to 8 persons plus luggage, and there is still room for your private Rome tour guide to give you commentary while your tour.

The Mercedes Sprinter can take 7 persons comfortably, plus driver and guide.
The smaller size vehicles get you close to the monuments and central Rome hotels which larger touring coaches cannot do.

If your party is more than 8 people I can arrange for small, medium size or large coach transfers to Rome to suit your requirements.

Personal airport meeting and welcoming service

I have the necessary special permits to meet you benid the barriers at the airport in the so-called "sterile area".  I will assist you with your baggage collection, get a porter if necessary, take care of any missing bag problems (we hope not !) and lead you smoothly through customs and to your waiting transfer.  On our way into town I can give you a little bit of background information on Rome to orientate youjust as you would expect from your PRIVATE ROME TOUR GUIDE .

You can order a wheelchair for your tours in Rome
should you need one.   I am aged persons and child friendly.
